Quality Engineer
Quality Engineer-Perm-Oxfordshire -£45k-£55k An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support manufacturing quality, inspection and continuous improvement. Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer - Manage manufacturing quality, non-conformances and customer complaints using 8D / 5 Whys. Interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings, including GDandT, and determine appropriate inspection methods. Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal manufacturing teams on quality issues. Produce inspection reports, quality documentation and control plans. Conduct internal, process and supplier audits. Support calibration and management of measurement and test equipment. Train operators in inspection techniques and equipment. Identify and implement improvements to quality and inspection processes. Key requirements from the Quality Engineer - 5+ years'' experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role. Mechanical engineering background/apprenticeship. Strong understanding of GDandT and the ability to interpret technical drawings. Experience with measurement equipment and producing inspection reports. Confident working with customers, suppliers and manufacturing teams. Good organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. PC literate, including Microsoft Office.
