SEMH Teaching Assistants - Temp to Perm OpportunityTradewind Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an Independent Special Needs School for multiple SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teaching Assistants to join their team on a temp to perm basis.About the Role:Hours: 9am - 3pm (including debrief)Pay: 100 per dayChildren in Small Groups: 2-6 per hub, with some 1-1 support.Focus: Working within small teaching hubs or providing 1-1 support with children who have an EHCP.Environment: Tailored lessons using the national curriculum, with sensory breaks, movement breaks, and calming activities.Key Responsibilities:Support children with SEMH needs in small groups or 1-1.Assist with sensory and brain breaks, scribing, and calming strategies.Maintain high expectations, ensuring work is completed with flexibility on timing.Behavioural Support: Children may exhibit behaviours such as swearing, aggression, defiance, or self-harm. All staff are trained in restrictive physical interventions, used only as a last resort to ensure safety.
