Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Lead Electrical Engineer to be based in Motherwell, Scotland. Purpose of the role:To provide high voltage (predominantly 11kV and 33kV but up to 132kV) electrical system design to meet project requirements.Technically supporting projects to completion.Lead electrical design and engineering capability of the teamKey ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical networks (predominantly 11kV and 33kV but up to 132kV) to construction detail.Specify equipment including Switchgear, Transformers, and ancillaries.Produce electrical system calculations and reports including Short Circuit, Load flow and Protection Coordination utilising software such as SKM or ETAPProduce detailed installation drawings utilising the draughting team including Single Line Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Earthing and Layout drawingsInput to multi discipline specifications and design.Review and check manufacturer documentation for compliance with project specifications.Provide strong technical support and identify innovative and robust solutions.Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers.Mentor engineers (direct reports) and develop technical knowledge of the wider team.Experience and Skills RequiredClear focus on collaboration and building relationships with other engineers ..... full job details .....
