Water Systems Consultant

to join our field team carrying out water monitoring visits and Legionella risk assessments across a range of different property types. This role is ideal for someone with monitoring experience who can be trained further, as we are very open to candidates with less experience that we can develop. Flexibility, practical skills and common sense are required as each job is different.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out regular water monitoring at a range of properties in our contract portfolio, including temperature monitoring, tank inspections, sampling, checking of remedial works and completion of inspection forms and visit reportsConduct in-depth site surveys at new properties and produce Legionella risk assessment reports with hand drawn schematic drawings of water systemsCompile lists of suitable remedial works, provide solution options and assign appropriate prioritiesPlan and organise own workload effectivelyUndertake occasional ventilation system surveys and air quality monitoring (subject to further training)Work safely and help implement the BMS Health and Safety policyMaintain high standards and ensure quality of service is always maintainedCommunicate any site issues/cancellations to the Field Service ManagerTravel to and from sites safely with occasional overnight staysReturn reports within required time framesSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseDetailed knowledge of ACOP L8 and HSG274Working knowledge of domestic water systems within a variety of building typesExcellent attention to detailExcellent technical writing skillsAbility to communicate at all levelsGood IT skills - knowledge of MS Office productsAbility to work cooperatively and communicate clearlyAbility to plan and arrange own workloadFull UK driving licenceExperience carrying out Legionella risk assessments including production of written reports and schematic drawingsExperience of carrying out Indoor Air Quality risk assessments and monitoringWater treatment knowledge and experience of closed water systemsWe offer a competitive salary of £28,000 - £38,000 per annum and provide a comprehensive range of benefits including:Company car (Skoda Octavia or equivalent grade) for business and personal useCompany phone for business and personal useCompany credit card so you''re never out of pocket for expensesFlexible working arrangements and excellent work-life balanceHealth insurance scheme (option to join after 6 months of service)Employee assistance programmeDeath in service payment/policyRegular salary reviews with recognition for outstanding performanceInvestment in training and development opportunitiesBuilding Monitoring Services is an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.To apply, please submit your CV and a covering letter explaining why you''re the right fit for this role.Seniority level
