If so a major fit out company based in Basildon are looking to recruit an Upholster to join their Upholstery team working on projects for some of their most prestigious clients. If you have proven upholstery experience with a knowledge of both modern and traditional upholstery techniques, then we want to hear from you. Duties:Strip and prepare furniture for reupholstery and upholsteryMeasure, template and cut fabrics and leather hidesShape foam and prepare frames using springs, webbing and upholstery materialsApply buttons, piping, facings, decorative studs and other finishing detailsRead and work from production drawings and specificationsMaintain exceptional quality standards throughout the manufacturing processReport any design or production issues and assist with continuous improvementSupport colleagues within the upholstery department and undertake occasional site installations when requiredSkills and Experience:Proven experience as an Upholsterer or ReupholstererQualified in Modern and Traditional Upholstery (City and Guilds or equivalent preferred)Skilled working with a wide range of fabrics and leatherAble to read technical and production drawingsExcellent attention to detail and quality-focusedGood communication and problem-solving skillsCutting and sewing experience would be an advantageFlexible team player with a ..... full job details .....
