Description We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining a high standard of customer service. This role requires strong communication skills and a good understanding of the rules of the road. You will have a drivers mate but will be required to lift items, so good physical fitness is required. You may on occasion be asked to work in the warehouse. Monday to Friday - various start times, often early 3am/4am. Occasional nights out. Usually a 45 hour week - once permanent extra time will be given in lieu. For the right candidate this is a permanent role once you have successfully completed the temp to perm period. Own transport required due to location - there may be the opportunity to take the van hone on occasion. Duties Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations. Load and unload items from the van, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
