Senior Children''s Residential Support Worker / Deputy Manager
 
Salary: £26,832-£32,656 per year, plus a £7,200 annual sleep-in allowance
 
MD2 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Senior Children''s Residential Support Worker / Deputy Manager. This role would suit someone with experience in a children''s residential home who enjoys supporting young people and is ready to take on more leadership responsibility.
You''ll work alongside the management team to provide a safe, supportive and consistent home for young people. You''ll also guide colleagues on shift and help maintain high standards of care.
 
What you''ll be doing

• Building positive, trusting relationships with young people and supporting their individual needs.
• Leading shifts and providing guidance to other members of the team.
• Supporting care planning, record keeping and communication with relevant professionals.
• Helping to maintain a safe environment and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the home, including sleep-in duties.

What we''re looking for

• Experience working in a children''s residential care setting.
• The confidence to lead a shift and support colleagues.
• A sound understanding of safeguarding and a calm, child-centred approach.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
