Supply Desk are working with a popular and well-regarded Gillingham-based secondary school who are seeking a committed Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a long-term full-time position that will run until at least December 2025, with the potential to extend further.

Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, if youandrsquo;re confident delivering across all three sciences up to KS4 (ideally KS5) and are looking for a fresh challenge in a school that values teamwork and innovationandmdash;this could be the role for you.

About the Role:

Youandrsquo;ll be delivering engaging and well-structured Science lessons to mixed-ability groups, with a focus on maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour. Full teacher responsibilities are expected, including planning, marking, assessment, and active participation in the school community.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (KS3-KS4; KS5 desirable).
  • Plan and mark work in line with school policies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with diverse needs and abilities, including those with SEND.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school activities.
  • Uphold the schoolandrsquo;s behaviour and safeguarding policies.

Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Be confident in teaching all three sciences, ideally up to A-Level.
  • Be proactive, organised, and capable of working independently.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and adaptability.
  • Have experience supporting a range of student needs and abilities.
  • Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Be DBS-registered on the update service or willing to apply.
