Mechanical Assembly Fitter Bristol 30-35K Purpose of Role: To build and install mechanical sub assemblies in accordance with supplied drawings/specification sheets. Complete work in a timely manner and to meet the machine build timeline. Reporting to: Mechanical Team Leader Primary Responsibilities/Activities: Bench fitting work Build of mechanical sub assemblies Set-up and alignment of machine frames Set-up and alignment of tooling, to achieve specified tolerances/capability Functional testing and fault finding Use of conventional machine tools (lathes, milling machines, grinders, etc) and hand tools as appropriate Mentoring of junior team members Identify and communicate opportunities to enhance quality and reduce cost Support visits to customers as required to commission and test machines, and resolve problems Work with and support other departments to ensure business objectives are achieved Ensure statutory and company procedures and practices are maintained Promote a safe working environment Booking of time to assigned work Other duties as may be required Key Performance Measures: Work performed to the required standard Work completed within allocated task times Quality of technical solutions Competencies/Skills: Team player Highly motivated Customer focused Change and goal orientated Realistic and pragmatic approach Good oral and written communication Attention to detail Computer literate Proactive Flexible Background/Experience: Completed recognised ..... full job details .....
