OverviewRidgeway and Co are working with a leading regional Main Contractor in their search for an experienced Contracts Manager. Our client operates across a wide-range of sectors, from commercial fit-out to large-scale new builds. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional with a strong track record in managing contracts and delivering high-quality construction projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Monitor project budgets, variations, and claims, ensuring financial control.
Provide clear commercial advice to the project team and senior management.
Oversee risk management, dispute resolution, and contract administration processes.
Collaborate with project managers, QS teams, and site teams to ensure smooth delivery.
Essential Experience and Skills
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in construction.
Experience managing projects ranging from £5M-£10M in value.
Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC, or other standard contracts.
Experience in budget management, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
Strong commercial awareness with attention to detail.
