GCSE Maths Tutor - Chester

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting experienced GCSE Maths Tutors to support learners across Chester!

The Opportunity

Are you a passionate Maths teacher or experienced tutor looking for flexible 1:1 work?

We are looking for confident GCSE Maths Tutors to provide personalised tuition to secondary-aged learners who require additional support with their education.

You will work closely with individual students, identifying gaps in their knowledge and adapting sessions to suit their individual learning needs. The aim is to help learners strengthen their Maths skills, improve their confidence and work towards their academic goals.

Position Details:

Location: Chester
Position: GCSE Maths Tutor
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Maths
Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum
QTS, PGCE or equivalent desirable
Previous 1:1 tuition experience is advantageous
Ability to identify and address learning gaps
Patient and engaging approach to teaching

To be eligible for this role, you must:

Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
