EHS Manager

HSE Recruitment are working with a Global manufacturing business who are seeking a European Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join their business, supporting the aftermarket operations.
The role reports into the Safety Director based in Germany and although there are no direct reports, there are boots on the ground in the European Regions to lean upon.

• Conducting and improving safety audits as part of the company safety management system
• Regulating the framework conditions for a safe working environment for the responsible regions
• Act as contact person for local management and employees on the topics of safety at work, accident prevention, health and environmental protection
• Report on the safety performance of each site as per global reporting scheme
• Continuous development of the company's health and safety management system
What we are looking for:
• Someone who is happy to do the travelling across the 2 (soon to be 3 European sites)- face time is absolutely essential for this role to be a success.
• A hands on H&S professional with experience managing an EHS function- someone who can drive change and establish good practice.
• Someone who is experienced with different cultures, understands the challenges that poses and has proven experience of improving H&S in this capacity.
• It would be an advantage if you could speak basic German.
• Industries that will cross over well including broad manufacturing and engineering, but strong LOLER experience is essential.
Salary is between £60-70,000 plus package.
