Finance Manager

to take ownership of financial management and help shape the future of a growing charity.The RoleThis is a pivotal position, bringing the finance function fully in-house and ensuring the charity continues to thrive. Reporting to the Head of Operations and working closely with senior leaders, you will:Lead the transition from outsourced finance to in-house systemsOversee all finance functions, including management accounts, bank reconciliations, VAT, and year-end audit preparationManage budgeting, reforecasts, cashflow, and financial reporting for leadership and trusteesSupport project and grant management, ensuring compliance with funder requirementsProvide training and guidance to budget holders across the organisationReview and improve finance processes, systems, and controlsAbout YouWe’re looking for someone who brings:Experience in a similar finance management role (charity sector experience desirable)A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and charity SORP requirementsProficiency in financial software (SAGE preferred) and excellent Excel skillsThe ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with finance and non-finance colleaguesExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approachWhat We OfferHybrid working – home-based with flexibility and London office access when neededA collaborative and supportive team environmentOpportunities to contribute to meaningful conservation and environmental workStaff benefits including flexible working, time off in lieu, and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusionSeniority level
