Head of PurchasingSalary: 50,000 - 55,000 depending on experience Benefits: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + birthday off, profit share scheme, salary sacrifice pension, death in service, cycle to work scheme and company eventsOur client is a well-established building services and construction company delivering projects across a range of sectors.Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Group Purchasing to lead the procurement function across the business, managing supplier relationships, supporting project delivery and ensuring the best possible commercial value is achieved.Head of Purchasing - Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop the Group purchasing function, including managing and supporting the Buyer.Manage the procurement of materials, goods and services across the Group, ensuring competitive pricing, quality and availability.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage supplier performance.Work closely with pre-construction teams on tenders, procurement and value engineering opportunities.Issue enquiry packages, obtain and evaluate quotations and place orders for Group companies.Liaise with site teams to coordinate and programme deliveries and expedite orders where required.Monitor market conditions, supply and demand and potential risks to project programmes.Maintain accurate procurement records, cost comparisons and order information using Excel.Resolve purchasing and invoice queries and provide regular ..... full job details .....
