M&E Quantity Surveyor

Salary: -60,000 - -75,000 + Package (DOE)

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading M&E Contractor who delivers high-value residential, commercial, healthcare and mixed-use developments across London and the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on projects ranging from -1m to -30m+ MEP value, taking commercial responsibility from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through to final account.

• Preparing and submitting valuations, applications for payment and variation accounts.

• Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor packages.

• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management.

• Identifying and managing project risks and opportunities.

• Preparing and agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

• Assisting with procurement and supply chain management.

• Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams to ensure commercial success.

• Supporting contract administration and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

• Producing monthly CVRs and commercial reports for senior management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within the Building Services sector.

• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations.

• Experience working for an M&E Contractor or Building Services specialist.

• Knowledge of standard forms of contract including JCT and NEC.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Degree qualified or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
