Sheet metal worker (earlies) - Colchester, Essex - -13.21 (DOE) - ASAP

A large and well established manufacturing company located in Colchester, Essex are currently recruiting Sheet Metal Workers on a temporary - permanent basis. These are to work on either a 6am to 2pm shift or 2pm to 10pm shift.

Working hours:

6am to 2pm (-13.21)

Duties in the role:

• As a Sheet Metal worker, you will be using spinning machines
• Reading from technical drawings where required
• Measuring and cutting materials to size using hand & power tools
• Operating of welding machines for joining sheet metal parts
• Perform quality checks on the finished products to ensure they meet the required standards
• Work closely with engineers and fabricators across the site
• Operating Rollers in the fabrication department

Candidate requirements:

• Diploma, apprenticeship or NVQ in engineering or similar
• Must be able to read from technical drawings
• Will have used fabrication equipment such as rollers press brakes and spinning machines
• Background using various hand/power tools and fabrication machinery is needed
