OverviewAs a Senior Business Change Manager, you will set the direction with a business change lens on complex and transformational change programmes and play a key role in ensuring that programmes meet their objectives of delivering complex changes to operational areas. You will define the requirements for the delivery of the changes to the business areas and ensure that interventions are planned which establish the new ways of working, increase employee adoption and usage, and embed change into the organization.
Responsibilities
Work within a matrix management system alongside Project or Programme teams, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and business SMEs; scale from area-specific initiatives to organisational-wide transformation programmes.
Ensure the impact of change initiatives across projects is understood by stakeholders and that those impacted are supported to adopt new ways of working.
Identify changes to business processes, systems, technology, and governance; mitigate and communicate future benefits and project progress; embed changes to deliver the desired outcomes.
Apply a structured Change Management framework and contribute value-adds; support the development of the Business Change capability and coach junior colleagues.
Primary Outcomes and Accountabilities
Using a structured Change methodology, process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption and benefits realisation of the changes required by a project or initiative.
As-is/to-be/gap analysis and Change impact assessment.
Identify changes in processes, procedures and practices needed to achieve the change and deliver the planned benefits.
Prepare risk mitigation tactics.
Manage anticipated resistance to change.
Deliver change management levers: as-is/to-be, gap analysis, communications plan, sponsor/stakeholder roadmap, training plan, anchoring plan.
Measure and report success metrics and monitors for change processes.
Communicate change design, development, delivery and management in line with the plan to maximise engagement and ownership.
Train users and super-users; drive training programmes.
Complete Change Management assessments.
Consult and coach stakeholders, managers and teams on Change management best practice.
Create actionable deliverables for extended plans such as Resistance Management plans.
Act as trusted advisor to senior leaders.
Coordinate effort with other specialists and programme colleagues.
Design heat-maps to evaluate user readiness for change.
Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
Be an active member of the Change Management CoP and support the development of Change Management approaches for the Bank.
Demonstrable change management experience delivering technology and/or business change with understanding of processes involved.
Experience using proven change methodology, reporting and change frameworks.
Experience in communications planning and delivery to support change initiatives and articulate messages to diverse audiences.
Experience in initiating/start-up stages of Change programmes.
Demonstrate strong presentation and coaching skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with technical staff as well as business users and stakeholders at all levels.
Negotiation skills and interpersonal fluency; able to establish and maintain relationships at all levels.
Experience as a project manager, and/or understanding of the project management delivery cycle.
Experience in delivering Change and Transformation programmes with measurable benefits.
Experience of working in public sector projects setting.
Experience supporting the definition of business change outcomes with regard to benefits management.
Minimum Criteria
Demonstrable change management experience delivering technology and/or business change with proven understanding of processes involved.
Experience using proven change methodology, reporting and frameworks.
Experience in communications planning and delivery to support change initiatives, and able to clearly articulate messages to a wide variety of audiences.
Experience in working effectively at the initiation/start-up stage of any Change programme.
Essential
Demonstrate strong presentation and coaching skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with technical staff as well as business users and stakeholders at all levels.
Negotiation skills and interpersonal fluency, able to establish and maintain strong relationships and relate confidently to users at all levels.
Desirable Criteria
Professional Change Management qualification (Prosci/APMG etc).
Experience as a project manager, and/or understanding of the project management delivery cycle.
Experience in delivering Change and Transformation programmes with delivered and measurable benefits.
Experience in working in public sector projects setting.
Experience of supporting the definition of business change outcomes with regard to benefits management.

Salary and Benefits InformationWe encourage flexible working, part-time working and job share arrangements. Part-time salary and benefits will be pro-rated as appropriate.
The salary scale for this role is Leeds £59,520 - £66,960; London £66,160 - £74,430.
In addition, a comprehensive benefits package includes:
Non-contributory, career-average pension with a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked; option to increase (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through flexible benefits.
A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
An 8% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits.
26 days’ annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days.
