Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Royston, Hertfordshire
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only (Temporary to Permanent)
Start Date: September start

About the Role:

Simply Education is recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 6-19 with Moderate Learning Difficulties and Specific Learning Disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, and associated needs. This is a temporary-to-permanent position in a specialist school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Implement individual learning and behaviour plans
• Assist with personal care where required
• Work closely with teachers and therapists
• Promote independence, communication, and emotional regulation

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3) preferred
• An enhanced DBS is required
