Key Duties and Responsibilities for the buyer: Working closely with the engineering and production team to ensure that material and parts are always sourced in line with specifications and stock levels are always maintained to ensure service levels are met Ensure continuity of supply by maintaining effective relationships with existing sources and by developing other costeffective sources of supply Cost reduction measurements across the business. Procuring from sources around the world to ensure the best price and quality is purchased. Negotiating costs and SLA s in line with business requirements and viewing pricing agreements annually Processing and monitoring supplier rejects Rationalise suppliers, building a manageable vendor portfolio. Introducing robust processes to ensure they are maximising cost saving opportunities.
