A forward-thinking secondary school and sixth form in Hayes is seeking two Student Independence Mentors to support a bright and ambitious student with physical needs as she begins the next stage of her educational journey. This is far more than a traditional SEND support role. The successful candidates will help a talented young person access education, technology and enrichment opportunities whilst encouraging confidence, independence and self-advocacy every step of the way. £500+ per week (PAYE) Full-time September 2026 Start Student Independence Mentor The RoleSupport a sixth-form student with physical disabilities throughout the school dayPromote independence and confidence in both academic and social settingsAssist with accessibility, mobility and navigating the school environmentSupport the use of assistive technology and specialist equipmentWork alongside teachers, therapists and family members to provide consistent supportProvide wider SEND support across the school when not working directly with the studentAbout the StudentThe student is a creative and ambitious young person with aspirations in music and media.
