Experienced Bookkeeper sought by a London based boutique political consultancy working across housing, education and the wider built environment, to take full ownership of their finance admin on a part-time basis. This is a small, senior team built around close relationships rather than layers of process, and the founder wants someone who''ll treat this function as extremely important despite the few hours involved. You''ll work closely with the founder and the external accountant, with real autonomy to get the job done. Your duties will include sending out 20 to 30 invoices a month around the 1st and 2nd, running the full credit control function and chasing outstanding debt by phone when needed (a small volume of invoices but often for large amounts), processing disbursements, completing VAT returns, and using Xero day to day. You''ll liaise directly with the external accountant to keep everything reconciled and on schedule. You should be very comfortable with credit control as this will be one of the key functions of the role.
