Are you passionate about supporting children with diverse learning needs and promoting inclusive education£ A welcoming and diverse primary school in Eastbourne is seeking an experienced and empathetic Individual Needs Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis from September 2025.

This role offers the opportunity to support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) by providing personalised support tailored to each childandrsquo;s unique needs. Whether you already have experience supporting pupils with additional needs or are looking to develop your expertise, this position is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

andbull; Support pupils with individual learning needs in the classroom, working closely with the class teacher to implement personalised strategies and scaffolding to aid their development.
andbull; Provide one-to-one and small group support, promoting engagement and progress across the curriculum.
andbull; Assist in creating an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.
andbull; Support regulation strategies, helping pupils develop emotional and behavioural regulation within the classroom.
andbull; Assist in preparing learning resources tailored to the specific needs of pupils, ensuring accessibility and appropriate differentiation.
andbull; Support students with communication challenges to ensure they can express themselves effectively and access the curriculum.
andbull; Work collaboratively with staff to create and implement individualised learning plans.

What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:

andbull; Previous experience working with children with additional or Special Educational Needs, ideally in a school setting or with other relevant experience.
andbull; Knowledge of EHCPs, inclusion practices, and strategies for differentiation and scaffolding.
andbull; Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
andbull; A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to promoting inclusion and empowering students to achieve their best.<
