Job DescriptionICT Infrastructure Engineer

Location : Watford with Hybrid working after 3 month probation

Salary:

Circa £53,000 - £57,000 plus package

Summary

A Tier 1 major contractor designing and building large civil engineering and construction projects all over the world are looking to take on a ICT Infrastructure Engineer to provide day-to-day operational support and transformation of on premise Virtual and Physical server environments, cloud hosted infrastructure platforms, and network related services, liaising with external and internal service providers and associated IT functions as required.

Role Activities

- Provide day-to-day operational support for on-premises and cloud-hosted server environments and networks.- Participate in the design and implementation of new IT processes and policies.- Support change control, testing, and deployment of infrastructure services.- Act as a 3rd line support, troubleshooting complex issues.- Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure high levels of service delivery.- Maintain IT security at all times and assist in the upkeep of security accreditations.

Essential Qualifications/Skills

- At least 5 years of experience in an Infrastructure Services role (3rd line)- IT-related degree and certifications (Microsoft O365/Azure Administrator, CCNA, ITIL Foundation).- Experience and understanding of server operations- Strong expertise in IaaS (Windows/Linux), Azure networking, monitoring and alerting, Azure AD/Local AD, Windows Server, and PowerShell scripting.- Experience with SAN Storage (HPE Nimble), SD-WAN, and high availability failover clustering.- Familiarity with AWS, Palo Alto Firewalls, Microsoft Intune, and Zscaler VPN would be a plus.- Full clean driving license

Desirable

- Hold Azure, M365 and ITIL certifications.
