About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and relevant Health and Social Care lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5
• Teach key topics such as human lifespan development, health and wellbeing, and care values
• Use real-life case studies and current issues in health and social care to enrich the learning experience
• Assess student progress, set achievable goals, and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Contribute to the wider school community, including PSHE, careers support, and enrichment opportunities

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent UK teaching qualification (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Have experience teaching Health and Social Care at secondary or post-16 level
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for preparing students for real-world careers in care and support services
• Be able to deliver lessons that promote critical thinking, compassion, and cultural awareness
• Show excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
• Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and continuous professional development
