Deputy Team Leader

Crem Recruitment is recruiting for a Deputy Team leader to join an established Manufacturing client in the heart of Haverhill on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience who enjoys working with small components, maintaining high standards and supporting the smooth running of a production area. The Role Working alongside the Team Leader, you will play a key role in keeping the manufacturing area running efficiently. This is a predominantly hands-on position, with approximately 75% of your working week spent on production and 25% supporting the Team Leader with day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include: Working hands-on with small components, following detailed processes and maintaining consistently high standards. Supporting the Team Leader with the day-to-day running of the manufacturing area. Providing holiday and absence cover, including allocating work to technicians when required. Completing daily work-in-progress counts and supporting weekly stock counts. Checking in-process quality control paperwork and transferring products. Supporting PPE replenishment and restocking consumables and chemicals. Carrying out chemical cupboard and obsolete product checks, reporting any issues or shortages. Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards within a clean and controlled working environment.
