Early Years Practitioner The Key Worker is responsible to the Manager, Deputy Manager and Room Leader. Duties will include: Adhering to the Policies and Procedures of Peter Pan Pre-School and Nursery and being vigilant to safeguarding issues and acting on them immediately by reporting any concerns to the DSL. Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. Working as part of a team Care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs. Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background, in particular challenging situations where racism or discrimination is displayed. Keeping up to date development records and observations Positive management of children s behaviour Preparation, care and cleanliness of the classrooms and equipment. Providing good role model for Students, Bank Staff and Volunteers and helping new staff to fit into the nursery Recording and monitoring accident, incidents and risk assessments Supervision of meals and mealtimes, where appropriate, preparation of babies bottles Laundry duties Completion of training and training courses required for your CPD and arranged by the Manager appropriate to the needs of the setting and as part of the annual appraisal process.
