We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning surveying consultancy who have been listed as a Times Top 100 company to work for in the UK, who are looking to appoint a

Principal Building Surveyor

on a permanent contract.This will be a full-time position based in London, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working) and a salary of 65,000 - 75,000 per annum.The ideal candidate will hold an MRICS membership, have business development experience as well as a proven track record within contract administration.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Managing a team consisting of Building Surveyor/Assistant Building Surveyor/Trainee Building Surveyor/Year-out StudentAssist Programme Manager with Client liaison to include formulation of briefs, fee proposals, presentation of schemes, and/or services, project programming and other matters affecting delivery of serviceAct as the Contract Administrator or Employer''s Agent on a wide range of building typesCarry out the necessary research to support Business Plan activities and Sector knowledge for opportunities and networkingAssist in the preparation and drafting of quality questions for tender opportunitiesMange risk, including any on-going PI issues relevant to your projectsExperience required:MRICS membershipSkills, knowledge and expertise required:Contract administration on a wide range of residential public sector projectsAbility to prove business retention/development within surveying consultanciesRewards and Benefits:Life assurance cover for all colleagues (x4 annual salary)Scottish Widows pension and salary sacrifice (4.5% contribution matched)Bonus payments for introducing new people to the businessProfessional development scheme available to all colleaguesReimbursement of professional feesBirthday leaveLong service additional leaveAccess to in-house mental health first aidersTwo corporate social responsibility (CSR) days in each calendar year50 contribution to each charity event you take part inBuying/selling leave policyWorking hours:35 hours per weekPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
