Position: Home Manager - Elderly Nursing Home

Location: Northampton, UK

Type: Permanent

Salary: -50,000 - -65,000

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Elderly Nursing Home located in Northamptonshire. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in managing a care home, preferably in a nursing setting. A nursing background is preferred, but not essential.

As the Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care is provided to our residents, while also managing the overall performance of the home. You will lead and support a team of care staff, ensuring they are trained and motivated to provide the best possible care. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and driven individual to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies
  • Manage and lead a team of care staff, providing training, support and guidance as needed
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and maintain the financial performance of the home, ensuring budget targets are met
  • Implement and maintain effective systems for resident care, medication management and staff scheduling
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure quality standards are met and maintained
  • Act as a role model for the staff team, promoting a culture of compassion, respect and dignity for our residents
  • Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Home Manager in a care home setting, preferably in a nursing home
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent knowledge of care home regulations and standards
  • A nursing qualification (RGN/RMN) is preferred, but not essential
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and achieving financial targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for providing high-quality care to elderly residents
