Sewell Wallis are working exclusively with a well established business based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, which has an opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their team.

This Management Accountant role will be responsible for producing accurate and timely financial information across the Group''s divisional portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA candidate who has ambitions to be fully qualified within the next few years and progress into a more senior role.

What will you be doing?

• Assist the team in the production of the management accounts, ensuring they are produced to a high quality and within published timetables.
• Prepare, review and document monthly balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with Divisional finance teams and other Group functions.
• Assist in the compilation of data to support external and internal audit requirements and other information required for year end reporting, identifying efficiencies and improvements where annual processes can be streamlined into monthly tasks.
• Review, suggest improvements, and assist in the implementation of changes to the processes and controls around all aspects of finance
• Ensure appropriate procedure notes are maintained, updated and documented for all areas of responsibility
• Be involved in key projects within the Finance Team and the Group as directed

What skills will you need?

• Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• Experience of accounting processes in a large/high volume organisation
• Experience of influencing outside of your own team
