Position: Project Engineer

Salary:

Circa £55,000 – £65,000 per annum, fully negotiable, including car allowance and benefits

A leading designer and manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment for the HVAC / BMS industry is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their team in Slough.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage electrical and control systems projects within the HVAC / BMS sector.

Design motor control centres and control panels according to IEC61439-1 standards.

Handle project financials, including profit and loss responsibilities.

Occasionally visit construction sites for project meetings and commissioning.

Communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Key Skills and Experience:

Experience with HVAC / PLC Controls, especially Trend BMS / PLC systems, and familiarity with writing software using SET, TCP/IP, BACNET, and Modbus.

Proficiency with Trend / Honeywell software and IQ Vision / Niagara platform.

Networking experience and ability to use control panel drawing packages like EPlan P8 with Pro Panel and Process wire modules.

PC literacy, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Electrical knowledge of 400V systems, motors, and motor starting techniques such as DOL, ASD, and Frequency Inverters.

Design experience for motor control centres and control panels.

Optional but advantageous: experience from the process industry with PLC controls, network communication standards like Ethernet/IP, Modbus RTU, Profibus, and control panel design.

Open to commissioning engineers seeking progression or junior engineers.

Qualifications:Relevant electrical and control systems experience, with a focus on HVAC / BMS controls and project management.
