Placing orders with manufacturers and suppliersProactively follow up on purchase orders with suppliers/manufacturersTaking the lead for the investigation of any stock related complaints, putting in place a clear, measurable and deliverable action plan to prevent repeat issues, and improve service to our patientsLead the regular process of reviewing stockholding in our facilities through accurate implementation of min/max stock levels and regular reviews of non-moving or slow-moving stockImplement and drive improvement plans through to completion, that improve availability and service, improve team routines and ways of working and reduce stock holdingWork with wholesalers and manufacturers to understand availability issues, likely restock dates and duration of supply issuesWork with clinical and customer service to assess and suggest alternative to out-of-stock medicinesQualifications

Educated to degree level or equivalentNumerate and IT literate (used IT systems and is quick to learn)Ability to use MS Office suite including Excel at intermediate levelExtensive experience in a commercial buying or supply chain role, either in retail or in the supplier baseProven experience of working with complex data and systems to improve the end-to-end supply chain process across multiple systemsProven experience of analysing data to generate reports and provide insight to drive informed decision makingProven experience of planning and implementing supply optimisation projectsExperience of working in a pressured environment, delivering against tight deadlinesExperience in FMCG preferredWhat happens next?
