We are looking for a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 11 to 16 with a range of complex needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and related behavioural needs.This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive team in a specialist setting in Aston, Birmingham, where every day is different, and every small success counts.About the Role: Provide individualised support to pupils with SEMH and ASD, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Assist in implementing behaviour support plans and emotional regulation strategies. Support the development of social skills, confidence, and independence in young learners.Requirements: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH, autism, or behavioural needs. A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting challenging behaviours. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
