Salary: £29,344 – £44,919 (MPS/UPS)

An "Good" secondary school in Aylesbury is seeking a passionate English Teacher to join its team from September. • Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience welcomed).
• Bring texts to life, encouraging critical thinking, discussion, and confident written expression.
• Plan purposeful and well-structured lessons that stretch and support all learners.
• Track and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and raise achievement.
• Create a positive and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the wider work of the English department.
• Support enrichment opportunities such as reading initiatives, clubs, or theatre trips.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching English in a secondary setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across literature and language.
• The ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
• Confident classroom management and clear communication skills.
