Job Requirements:Solid experience in software engineering within the defence sectorProficiency in ADA, Embedded C/C++, and potentially C#Experience with large systems rather than small applicationsStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle and best practicesEither STEM degree or 1-2 years industry experience in Software development. Essential: Experience taking lead decisions in a software development role.A understanding of all aspects of a software lifecycle and good knowledge of software lifecycle models (e.g. waterfall, Agile, Spiral)Proven experience of using a high-level design methodology (e.g. UML)Excellent communication skills and experience with mentoring staff.Considerable experience of using at least one high level programming language (e.g. ADA, C++, C#)Experience using a configuration management tool.
