The OpportunityWe’re looking for a skilled and reliable
Fitness Engineer
to join our expanding team. Based in and around
London or Essex , this is a field-based role covering the
South East . You’ll carry out inspections, servicing, repairs, and installations of commercial fitness equipment across a diverse client base.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently, and taking pride in delivering high-quality, customer-focused service.Responsibilities
Routine Servicing and Inspections
Carry out scheduled inspections and maintenance of gym and fitness equipment across schools, universities, leisure centres, and commercial facilities. Ensure all work is completed to safety and compliance standards.Diagnosis and Repairs
Identify faults and carry out mechanical and basic electrical repairs. Work on a wide range of equipment including treadmills, rowers, resistance machines, and exercise bikes from leading brands such as Technogym, Origin, Matrix, Life Fitness, Pulse, and Concept.Equipment Installations
Deliver, assemble, and install fitness equipment at client sites. Ensure all equipment is correctly positioned, tested, levelled, and fully operational before handover.Client Communication
Communicate clearly and professionally with site contacts. Explain inspection outcomes, repairs carried out, and any further recommendations. Always represent us with a positive and professional approach.Tablet-Based Reporting
Use a company-issued tablet to complete digital reports, log parts used, take photos, and submit job outcomes in line with company procedures.Vehicle and Stock Management
Keep your company van clean, roadworthy, and fully stocked. Perform daily vehicle checks and ensure commonly used parts and tools are available for efficient service delivery.Health and Safety Compliance
Always follow Health and Safety policies, including the use of PPE and on-site risk assessments. Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.Team Collaboration
Work independently while maintaining communication with your team, supervisor, and head office. Attend briefings and training when required, and support colleagues when needed.Additional Duties
Assist with occasional warehouse or HQ-based tasks. Be willing to travel further afield or stay away overnight (Monday–Friday) when required.What We’re Looking For
Previous experience servicing and repairing commercial gym or fitness equipmentBasic electrical knowledge (qualifications a plus)Full UK driving licenceComfortable using tablets and mobile apps for reportingPhysically fit – able to lift and handle heavy equipment safelyA confident communicator with a professional, customer-focused attitudeAble to pass an Enhanced DBS check (organised by us)Willing to travel throughout the South East and stay away on occasionWhat We Offer
