Assistant Contract Surveyor - Major Residential Developer
Location: Cambridge
Salary: -30,000 - -45,000

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for an Assistant Contract Surveyor to join a leading, award-winning residential developer with a strong presence across Cambridge and the wider region.

Our client is recognised for delivering high-quality, large-scale residential and mixed-use developments and offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a dynamic and supportive commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of project costs and cash flow, ensuring accurate reporting and financial forecasting
• Support procurement activities, including the preparation and issue of subcontractor orders in line with programme and budget requirements
• Work collaboratively with Technical and Production teams to identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities within designs and work packages
• Assist in the management of subcontractor accounts, including valuations, re-measurements, variations, and timely payments
• Prepare detailed cost valuations and financial reports, supporting the agreement of final accounts
• Contribute to value engineering processes to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

Requirements:

• Degree qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• A solid understanding of construction processes, cost control, and procurement
• Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and Health & Safety practices
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working
• A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
