Full-Time | Long-Term | Secondary School | September 2025 Start
We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Watford that delivers a broad and balanced curriculum within a supportive and inclusive environment. Known for its strong community ethos and focus on academic and personal development, the school is now looking to appoint a passionate Humanities Teacher for a September 2025 start.
The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with specialisms in History, Geography, or Religious Education welcome. There may also be opportunities to teach Key Stage 5, depending on experience.
Role Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in your Humanities specialism
Teach KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5
Differentiate lessons to support students of varying abilities
Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
Prepare students for GCSEs through targeted teaching and revision
Contribute to curriculum development and department initiatives
Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Maintain effective classroom management and support school behaviour policies
Participate in school life, including extracurricular and enrichment activities
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students
Candidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification
Degree in a Humanities subject (e.g. History, Geography, or RE)
Experience teaching at secondary school level
Strong subject knowledge and passion for education
