A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary SEN school in Slough is seeking a Mental Health Assistant to join their team. This full-time role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or those with a strong interest in adolescent mental health, behavioural needs, and neurodiversity.

As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be working with students aged 11 to 16 who have been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), or trauma-related challenges. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with emotional regulation, social development, and academic engagement.

• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

The Mental Health Assistant role will involve providing 1:1 and small group support to help students manage emotional and behavioural difficulties as well as assisting teachers and therapists in implementing individualised support plans. You will build strong relationships with students and gain invaluable experience working alongside SEN specialists and educators.
