The position combines technical site inspections with detailed office-based reporting, typically involving one field visit per week depending on programme requirements. The postholder will contribute to safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of the inspection programme.Key Responsibilities• Undertake scheduled Principal and General Inspections as part of the annual plan for the highways inspector team.• Produce accurate, structured reports that meet technical and client expectations.• Review and validate inspection outputs completed by other highways inspector colleagues to maintain quality standards.• Track progress against programme timelines and inspection budgets, supporting commercial performance.• Contribute to efficiency improvements while maintaining high technical standards.• Prepare and work in accordance with risk assessments and method statements for all structural inspection activities.• Promote safe working practices and support a zero-incident culture.• Ensure all work aligns with operational objectives and contractual requirements.• Provide technical support to maintenance and project teams when structural expertise is required.• Assist with incident response on the network when needed.• Work flexibly, including nights and weekends, in line with programme demands.Person ..... full job details .....
