UPS Engineer Role- London About the Role: Kingston Barnes is recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading provider of power protection solutions, for a skilled UPS Service Engineer to join their field service team. This is a home-based, field engineer position responsible for commissioning, maintaining, repairing, and occasionally modifying a range of power protection products, including battery-backed rotary UPS systems, diesel UPS systems, static UPS systems, and frequency converters. This role requires a high degree of flexibility, as our client provides essential 24/7 support to customers. Regular weekend work, occasional night shifts, and on-call duties are part of the role. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel across the UK and occasionally to Europe, sometimes at short notice. Key Responsibilities: Perform commissioning, maintenance, and repair of UPS systems and associated power protection products. Operate and troubleshoot power electronics, including rectifiers, inverters, and rotating machines. Manage job preparation, ensuring all necessary tools, spares, and equipment are available. Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Maintain accurate service records and complete electronic and paper-based documentation.
