OCS are currently recruiting for one of London''s leading RC Frame contractors, with an established reputation for delivering major reinforced concrete frame and structural projects across the capital.
As the business enters an exciting period of growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to join their London team.
With ambitious plans for 2027, this is a key appointment that will play an integral role in the company''s continued growth, future project pipeline and success.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This isn''t simply a role focused on pricing tenders.
As Senior Estimator, you''ll become a key part of the pre-construction and commercial function, helping to identify opportunities, develop tender strategies and secure the projects that will underpin the company''s growth through 2027 and beyond. You''ll be involved in:
- Identifying and assessing new project opportunities
- Reviewing tender documentation, drawings and specifications
- Preparing detailed and competitive estimates
- Developing tender strategies and submissions
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Measuring and pricing RC Frame and associated works
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Working closely with commercial, operational and senior management teams
- Supporting client meetings, negotiations and tender presentations
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors
- Helping shape the company''s 2027 project pipeline
WHO I''M LOOKING FOR
I''m keen to speak with experienced Senior Estimators / Estimators who have a strong background in RC Frame, reinforced concrete, structural construction or associated civils. You''ll ideally have:
- Proven experience as an Estimator / Senior Estimator
- Strong experience pricing RC Frame / Reinforced Concrete projects
- Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and build costs
- Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Experience obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities
- The confidence to influence tender strategy and challenge where required
- Experience with estimating software and relevant IT systems
- A strong network of subcontractor and supplier relationships would be advantageous
