About the Role As an SEN Teacher, you will work with pupils aged 9-16 who present with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The SEN Teacher will deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching in a small-class environment, supporting pupils to achieve both academically and emotionally.The successful SEN Teacher will be resilient, reflective and highly motivated, with a strong understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to learning. Key Responsibilities of the SEN TeacherPlan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons as an SEN Teacher to meet individual pupil needs.Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with EHCPs and complex needs.Track, assess and report on pupil progress as part of the SEN Teacher role.Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCo, leadership staff and external professionals.Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using consistent, supportive strategies.Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families.Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and contribute to a safe learning environment.
