Senior Network Engineer - 6-month contract VIQU IT has a customer who are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join their team, combining strong technical expertise with excellent planning and project management capabilities.This is a varied and hands-on role that goes beyond configuration work. You will play a key part in supporting business-as-usual (BAU) operations while also driving and coordinating small to medium-sized projects that arise from remediation activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport BAU network operations, ensuring stability, performance, and securityPlan and deliver remediation-driven projects (e.g., security patching, firmware upgrades, hardware refreshes)Work closely with the Network Team Lead to support resource allocation, workload planning, and prioritisationManage and coordinate incident response, ensuring timely resolution and communicationHandle vendor maintenance notifications and assess operational impactRaise and manage change requests in line with governance processesUse tools such as Jira (or equivalent) to track tasks, projects, and team activitiesSkills and ExperienceStrong background in network engineering (routing, switching, security, and infrastructure)Proven ability to plan and deliver projects, not just execute technical tasksExperience supporting BAU environments alongside project deliveryFamiliarity with ITSM processes (incident, change, problem management)Strong organisational and coordination skills, with attention to ..... full job details .....
