Director of Finance and Business Partner-HotelsJob Purpose:To manage the financial records of our hotels with regards to revenue and income. This includes tracking and analysing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that the hotels are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, ensuring accuracy of the financial information and providing advice and guidance on how to maximize its revenue.Key Responsibilities:Record and report revenue transactions in compliance with accounting principles and regulationsIdentify and analyse revenue-related issues and recommend solutionsPrepare and maintain revenue schedules and reportsReview and analyse revenue data for accuracy and completenessEnsure that revenue is recognised in accordance with the companys revenue recognition policyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognitionAssist with the preparation of financial statements and reportsEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting policiesContinuously update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organisations.Reconcile trade receivables agingDaily transfer of revenue from PMS into Netsuite on daily basis working closely with Finance AssistantsFull ownership of PandL from revenue perspectiveAttend PandL reviews with hotels team and GMsUse segment analysis to provide insight and projections, as well as harnessing analytics software e.g. PMS such as InforSkills and Qualifications:Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPointAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.Demonstrable experience of building complex reports in Excel.Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or studying towards recognised accounting qualification with at least five years experienceExperience of working with large data sets.Experience of developing and completing analysis projectsExperience presenting analysis and driving actions from insightsKnowledge of using Netsuite or Fairmas or any relevant reporting toolAttention to detail, taking ownership for accuracy of outputAbility to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work effectivelyExcellent communication skills and organised, with attention to detailGood understanding of hospitality commercial analysis and statisticsExposure to Hospitality industry will be beneficialExperience of creating, recording, maintaining controls and governance eg P2P (procure to pay), R2R (record to report) and O2C (order to cash)At the Sutton Hotel Collection, we are an inclusive, natural, generous, ethical and diverse group of people, we celebrate human relationships and kinship.
