The RoleAs the SENCO you will work under the direction of the Head Teacher and Deputy Head/Inclusion Lead and will pro-actively lead the SENCO provision and promote the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.You will take responsibility for coordinating all the support for children with Special Educational Needs and or Disabilities (SEND) following the wider Trust SEND Policy to make sure all children get a consistent, high-quality response to meeting their needs in school.Your role will include:Preparing Education, Health and Care Plans and making applicationsUpdating the school s SEND record of need and making sure that there are excellent records all pupil''s progress and needs.Leading annual reviewsProviding specialist support for teachers and support staff in the schoolCommunications with parents, outside agencies and support teams across the boroughOrganising training for staff so they are aware and confident about how to meet the needs of pupils within the school.This SENCO role is offered on a part-time basis for the academic year.
