Job Description:
- Plan and deliverandnbsp;engaging,andnbsp;challenging, andandnbsp;inspirational lessonsandnbsp;in Art and Design across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3andndash;KS4)
- Foster aandnbsp;stimulating classroom environmentandnbsp;that encouragesandnbsp;creativity,andnbsp;critical thinking, andandnbsp;independent learning
- Support students in developing theirandnbsp;technical skills,andnbsp;visual literacy, andandnbsp;personal style
- Prepare students forandnbsp;GCSE Art and Design assessments, ensuring high standards ofandnbsp;progress and attainment
- Contribute to theandnbsp;wider life of the school, includingandnbsp;art exhibitions,andnbsp;enrichment activities, andandnbsp;cross-curricular projects
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience teachingandnbsp;Art and Designandnbsp;at secondary level, ideally includingandnbsp;GCSE (desirable but not essential)
- Be aandnbsp;reflectiveandnbsp;andandnbsp;innovative practitionerandnbsp;with a strong understanding ofandnbsp;contemporary and traditional art practices
- Demonstrate a commitment toandnbsp;inclusive education,andnbsp;student wellbeing, andandnbsp;safeguarding
- Possess excellentandnbsp;communication,andnbsp;organisational, andandnbsp;interpersonal skills
- Be enthusiastic aboutandnbsp;continuous professional developmentandnbsp;andandnbsp;collaborative working
- Hold or be willing to obtain anandnbsp;enhanced DBS check
