This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who require support with their social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them engage positively in education and reach their full potential.The RoleAs an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:Support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs both in and out of the classroomBuild positive and trusting relationships with childrenHelp pupils regulate emotions and develop positive coping strategiesWork closely with class teachers, SEND staff and parentsEncourage engagement, attendance and positive behaviour for learningProvide 1:1 and small group support where requiredWe''re Looking ForExperience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs or additional support needsA calm, patient and resilient approachStrong communication and behaviour management skillsThe ability to build positive relationships and act as a positive role modelExperience in education, care, youth work, support work or similar settings is desirableWhat''s on Offer?
