Java Developer - Java, React, Springboot

-market rate (Outside IR35)

Glasgow / 5 days a week onsite

My client is seeking experienced Java Developers to join a dynamic delivery team building modern, scalable applications. This role will suit candidates with strong full-stack capability, combining backend Java development with modern front-end technologies such as React. You will work across microservices architecture, contributing to both design and delivery in an Agile environment.

Key requirements:

• Strong Java (8+), Spring Boot & Spring MVC experience
• Experience building REST APIs & microservices
• Full-stack capability: React, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS
• Knowledge of JEE (JSF, JPA, Servlets, JDBC)
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven) and Git
• Agile/Scrum environment experience
• Familiar with IntelliJ (or similar IDEs)
• Understanding of TDD & automated testing
• Strong collaboration across product, QA & engineering teams
• Awareness of web accessibility standards/tools

Nice to Have:

• Node.js or Redux
• FreeMarker
• Performance tools (e.g. Glowroot, JProfiler)
• AWS or cloud platforms
