An opportunity to join a high-performing, 5-star housebuilder with a strong pipeline of residential developments across the South East.
This position is based on a development of approximately 100 traditional build units (low-rise housing), with potential for a larger subsequent phase. We are seeking an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to support the Site Manager in driving operations forward, maintaining safety standards and ensuring high-quality handovers.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-Day Operations:-Oversee daily build schedules, ensuring sub-contractors and direct labour stay on track with the construction programme.
- Quality Control:-Conduct inspections across all stages of build, driving high craftsmanship standards and minimising snags.
- Health & Safety:-Enforce strict health and safety protocols across the development to uphold an exemplary safety culture.
- Site Logistics:-Assist with material management and delivery schedules to ensure seamless on-site progress.
- Handover & Customer Care:-Prepare completed units for final handovers, ensuring plots meet company standards and buyer expectations.
Key Requirements
- Background:-Strong track record as an Assistant Site Manager within the residential housing sector.
- Build Experience:-Proven experience with traditional build schemes is essential. Timber frame experience is also beneficial.
- Certifications:-CSCS card, SMSTS (or SSSTS) and First Aid at Work.
- Management Style:-Professional, proactive and effective at driving site teams and subcontractors with strong communication skills.
- Track Record:-Excellent health, safety and compliance record on active or previous sites.
