Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - Stockport

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive Primary SEN School in Stockport that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team asap.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), communication and interaction needs, and moderate to complex learning difficulties. You''ll play a vital role in helping pupils achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging, tailored learning activities.
• Promoting a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and personal development.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
• A patient, caring, and positive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
